Reviews from Tripadvisor:

This hotel was a lovely respite in Jerusalem. The staff were very warm and helpful. The breakfast was great. We loved the location, which is walking distance to just about anywhere. They also have an off site parking place that was very reasonable for storing our car.

I just wanted to let you know that Dad and I really enjoyed the Montefiore last week. You've really done a great job with the place - very clean, friendly, and accessible. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Ron and Nadav, who answered all of my questions. You've outdone yourself yet again.

Thanks for everything,

“Perfect location, nice accomadations”

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The location is near perfect - 1 block from Ben Yehuda, and walking distance of many major attractions/neighborhoods. Walking, the kotel is about 25 minutes away, Mea Shearim about 10-15 minutes, and several synagogues just 2-3 blocks away.
The hotel itself is nice, although not luxiriant. The breakfast is good, and everything in the hotel is fully kosher. They have a Shabbos elevator. The rooms are medium sized, although the beds aren't the most comfy. The AC works great and the place is clean.
Hotel staff in general were helpful. The biggest negative was other guests who made noise during the night.
All things considered, this was a very nice hotel right near the old city and was perfect for us.

“Great location, nice price”

Montefiore hotel in the background
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in late June. The location was great, on a nice pedestrian street about 3 minutes from Ben Yehuda mall and about 20 minutes walk from the Machane Yehuda market and the Old City. The rooms and the bathrooms were sparse and dated but clean. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and you can fill up until dinner if you want to. For the price, I would definitely stay there again. Simple and basic, but good.

“Great for the price”

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but I was very pleased with this hotel. If you are on a budget and want a place that is basic, clean and in a GREAT location, this is your hotel.
The hotel room is not luxurious but does the job. TV has about 40 cable channels in every language imaginable. Bathroom was clean and adequate. A/C worked great which is important in Jerusalem in the summertime.
Staff was responsive and courteous. My TV remote did not work and they took care of it immediately. They were helpful with directions and other travel questions as well.
Breakfast was not as lavish as one is used to at Israeli hotels, but it was adequate to start the day off.

Drawbacks: no alarm clocks in the room, walls are a little thin, sheets were a little small for the bed and tended to come off the mattress.
Pluses: location, staff, PRICE.

“Good Choice”

SouthamptonJun 1, 2008

This a decent three star hotel which is close the shops, bars and restuarants in the modern part of Jerusalem. The staff were helpful and they also can book tours (the Dead Sea and Massada cost me about $90 and there's no way I would have got round this on my own). There are leaflets in reception with details of different tour companies.
The room was fine, air-con not always needed (it was surprisingly cool in the evenings). It wasn't a superior tourist-class but for the location and price, I couldn't complain. The bed was very comfortable. A bit noisy in the morning, but during the night was fine.
The (kosher) breakfast had a wide range of fruit/bread and a few hot things (not sure what they're called but nice). During shabbat the hot food wasn't available and coffee was limited. An inconvenience but it was no major issue.
All-in-all a good choice and excellent location. A few tips: take a sherut from the airport and avoid taxis; I got fleeced going to the Mount of Olives. Also be wary of people in the Old City who try to 'help' give you directions - they can get very annoying just say 'no' and keep walking. Get a good map - the Old City is like a maze. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the New or Jaffa Gate and 5 minutes from Ben Yuhuda.

Hello, Naama!

We thank you for the accorded welcome.
Especially we wish to note kindliness and attentiveness of staff of the hotel. Forgive, if as a result of our dialogue there were errors - it is only because of misunderstanding.

With pleasure we will visit Jerusalem once again in a private order and we will stay in your hotel, and also we will recommend it to our friends.

לשנה הבאה בירושלים

Yours faithfully,
Zhenya (the chief of the group).
